Cucurbita pepo

Cucurbita pepo, commonly known as field pumpkin, is native to southern North America and around the world now. It has stout stems, yellow flowers in the shape of five pointed stars. It is simple to cultivate, the most suitable growth temperature is 20-25℃. Flowering and fruiting period needs higher temperature. It grows well under moist, moderate light conditions, but does not grow well under drought conditions. When the light is insufficient, its stems and leaves will grow, without flowering and fruiting. It is prone to powdery mildew when the temperature and the humidity is too high. In the process of its growth, it needs to cut off the long branches to prevent over-density.
